First Graduates of Spanish D.Min. Program

During Commencement 2006, Dallas Seminary recognized the the first four graduates of the Spanish Doctor of Ministry program. The Spanish D.Min. program was launched four years ago with extension classes at the Seminario Teológico Centro Americano (SETECA) in Guatemala. The program is administered by:

Francisco Cerrón
Rector of Seminario Bíblico Alianza de Perú. Francisco received his Master of Arts in Missiology from Canadian Theological Seminary of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1993. In addition to his responsibilities at the Seminary in Lima, Francisco is active in the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church National Counsel (Alianza Cristiana y Misionera del Perú).


José Adán Delgado
José Adán Has served ten years as pastor of the Iglesia Luz y Vida en Guatemala and five years as pastor of Tabernáculo Evangélico in Managua, Nicaragua. José came to Christ at 22 years of age at the time of the 1972 earthquake when more than 10,000 Nicaraguans lost their lives. He is a graduate of the Instituto Bíblico Nicaragüense and has the “licenciatura” and “maestría” (M.Div.) degrees from SETECA.

Jorge A. Ponce
For the past twelve years Jorge Ponce has served as the national director in Guatemala for compassion International, a ministry for children in poverty. He is an adjunct professor at SETECA and is actively involved in leadership in his home church “Jesús El Buen Pastor” in Guatemala City. Originally from Nicaragua, Jorge is a graduate of Colegio Bautista of Managua and has completed both the “licenciatura” and “maestría” (M.Div.) degrees from SETECA. He was a straight “A” student at SETECA and has done further graduate work at the Universidad Rafael Landívar of Guatemala.

Calixto E. Ulloa
Calixto is a professor of pastoral ministries at the Seminario Teológico Hebrón and pastor of Iglesia Emanuel in Santa Cruz, Boliva. After several years as youth pastor in Boliva and instructor at Hebrón seminary, he enrolled at SETECA. During his four years of study at SETECA he was actively engaged in ministry in two prominent churches in Guatemala City and taught for two years in the seminary. In 1988 he received the “maestría” (M.Div.) from SETECA. Read Calixto Ulloa's disertacion.
