Dining
Café Brazil
Try their tasty cup of chicken tortilla soup ($2.95 per person). Small but filling. Add an appetizer of chips and salsa and you should come out well.
Cheesecake Factory
When you want a lively ambiance and large portions, you can easily split one entrée between two, depending on portions desired. Try the cobb salad, shepherd’s pie, or meatloaf—even their sandwiches are sizable. But for dessert, instead of paying $6 or $7 per person at the Cheesecake Factory, walk two buildings over to Barnes and Noble on Northwest Hwy @ I-75. Enjoy the same cheesecake for $3.95. Grab a cozy chair and a good book to read together, or sit at the café where you can actually hear what the other is saying (compared to the Cheesecake Factory).
Chili’s
Try the frosty chocolate shake with chocolate sprinkles for $2.79. Their chips with salsa are bottomless for $1.99. They also have bottomless beverages—one price for unlimited refills.
Reunion Lounge
At the top of the Reunion Tower, enjoy dining with a view of the city. Minimum purchase $10. Try the appetizers of shrimp scampi and/or a French-style fruit and cheese platter. Be sure you are on the top lounge floor; you don’t want to land on the floor of the pricey Antares restaurant, although the artichoke-goat cheese ravioli there is interesting.
