At Dallas Theological Seminary the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff is of the utmost importance. To that end we have implemented a campus emergency notification system. This system will allow you to receive text messages on your mobile phone, PDA and computer in the event of an emergency on campus or an unscheduled closing due to weather or other reasons. Participation is voluntary but highly recommended. Registration is easy. Just log on to http://dts.ssalert.com and follow the three simple steps. If you have any problem selecting your mobile phone carrier call customer service at 866.638.7261. This system will only be used for emergency notices and tests as required by federal law. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Rick Rice, DTS Risk Manager, at or rrice@dts.edu.

The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions found at http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm AES believes that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason a scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. Amount of award: $500.00 Deadline for entry: October 6, 2009

Perfectionists may appear confident, but they are actually fearful of failure. Perfectionists are usually hardest on themselves. The biblical concept of perfectionism means being mature and complete rather than being faultless and flawless. Since God is the only one who is perfect, consider: Do you hold yourself to a higher standard that God expects of you?
Join us Nov. 18 (6:30 pm) and/or Nov. 22 (9:30 am) as June Hunt presents God’s perfect plan concerning questions such as . . . “What causes people to think they have to be perfect?” or “How can I stop demanding perfection from myself . . . and others?” Through our Biblical Counseling Institute for Hope, HOPE FOR THE HEART will equip you with biblical hope and practical help.
Contact Heike Middelmann at bciregistration@hopefortheheart.org for more information.
