The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions found at http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm AES believes that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason a scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. Amount of award: $500.00 Deadline for entry: October 6, 2009

At Dallas Theological Seminary the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff is of the utmost importance. To that end we are implementing a campus emergency notification system. This system will allow you to receive text messages on your mobile phone, PDA and computer in the event of an emergency on campus or an unscheduled closing or delay in opening due to inclement weather. Participation for students is voluntary but highly recommended. Registration is easy. Just log on to http://dts.ssalert.com and follow the three simple steps. This system will only be used for emergency notices. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Rick Rice, DTS Risk Manager, at 214-874-4479 or rrice@dts.edu.

Dr. Stephen Bramer will teach The Minor Prophets, an elective course described as “a detailed study of the Minor Prophets with attention to their messianic prophecies and the promises pertaining to the future of Israel as a nation.” The 2-hour class, BE425 (section VH) will meet Monday evenings from 6:45 to 8:35 by video conference connection with students in a simultaneous Dallas class. Cameras and microphones make the class completely interactive, with sound and visual contact between locations. Professor Bramer will occasionally travel to Houston to teach from here.
